General Safety Measures to be taken in all laboratories:

1.Do’s and Don’ts and safety measures rules are displayed in each laboratory.

2.Laboratories are cleaned by AMC House Keeping Staff every day. A Lab instructor ensures the maintenance of lab every day.

3.Lab instructors maintain the stock book for equipment of the laboratory. They prepare the preventive maintenance schedules and maintain as per the schedules.

4.Every year stock verification will be done by other department faculty throughout the college to ensure that the entire infrastructure, resources are in good working condition.

5. Equipments are to be handled with utmost care.

6.Any defects regarding any Equipment, if found, shall be intimidated to the Lab Staff immediately.

7.Use of aprons while working in the Laboratory is mandatory.

8.Students are advised not leave hair loose and avoid wearing loose garments to avoid accidents in the laboratory.

9.Fire Extinguishers have been provided to avoid a fire hazard.

10.First aid box has been provided to take care of students in case of any mishap.

11.All the major electrical equipment are provided with proper earthing materials. Required amount of charcoal, salt and earthing rods are made available to the personnel. Electricians are testing all the earthings periodically and strengthening each earthing by adding needed salt, coals, red soil and sand. Loosen nut and bolt by tightening as per norms.

12.All the academic floors have two entrances/ exits, so that immediate evacuation can be done.
