Dr. M. Kameswara Rao joined M. V. S. R Engineering College, Hyderabad in the year 2017, as Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering. He has total teaching experience of 30 years and worked in various capacities as lecturer, Assistant professor, professor and Principal. He has graduated in Civil Engineering in 1989, obtained P.G degree in structural engineering in 1994 and holds Ph. D from IIT Bombay in 2004. His areas of interest are Structural design, Finite Element Methods, Composite Structures, high performance concrete.

He is recognized research supervisor in JNTU Hyderabad and K L University Vijayawada. He has guided 14 M.Tech Thesis and one Ph.D scholar. He was also examiner for Ph. D. thesis. He has published fifty papers in reputed Journals which includes ASCE Journal of Engineering Mechanics and Composite Structures amongst others. He has also published papers in national and international conferences. He has attended and conducted several faculty development programs and short term training programs. He has reviewed three chapters in the Sixth edition of Prestressed concrete by Krishnaraju published by McGraw Hill Education. He is Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Fellow of Indian Association of Structural Engineers and life member of Indian Society for Technical Education. He is the central coordinator for NAAC at MVSR Engineering College.
