ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT

The entrepreneurship is essentially a creative activity or it is an innovative function. The economic activity with a profit motive can only be generated by promoting an attitude towards entrepreneurship. The developments of entrepreneurship will optimize the use of the unexploited resources, generate self-employment and a self sufficient economy.

The young entrepreneur should be motivated to come out with determination to do something of their own and also to contribute to the national income and wealth in the economy.

With these views, department organized a work shop on “Entrepreneurial Development” in association with The Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), established in April 1970 is a  registered national level professional non-profit society, Which organizes Training Programs, all over the country.

The one day workshop started with the Inaugural Session on 22nd March, 2013, at 10.30.am, Sri U.Venkatachalapathi, DGM & Centre Head, NSIC, HYD was the Chief Guest for the session and delivered the Key Note address and followed by Technical sessions.

  • The resource person for the Technical Session-I was Ms. Revathi Turaga, Corporate Trainer, Vice-Chairperson of ISTD,  and the theme was Attitudes & Skills for Entrepreneurial Development
  • The resource person for the Technical Session-II was Dr Kamalakar, Executive Member, ISTD, and the topic was Idea Generation & Implementation
  • The Technical Session-III was about interacting with the Entrepreneurs, Sri. R. SIVA   KUMAR, Chairman & Managing Director, Zetatek Industries Ltd shared his successful journey as an Entrepreneur with students and clarified various doubts.
  • The one day workshop ended with the Valedictory Function.

Thus, the workshop was productive and response from the students was overwhelming.
