“Guru Poornima” was celebrated in the college on 22-07-2013 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maharshi Veda Vyasa.  It was well attended by the Faculty of the College.

The Vice-Principal,  Prof. S.G.S. Murthy welcomed the gathering and conducted the proceedings.

The Principal, Dr. P.A. Sastry, Sri Konijeti Venkata Ratnam, President, Matrusri  Education Charitable Trust and the Chief Guest Sri Shanthi Swaroop, renowned TV News reader, artist and novelist spoke on the occasion.

In his welcome speech, Principal, Dr. P.A. Sastry underlined the need for Engineering Teachers to be aware of the latest technological developments to facilitate teaching.

Sri K. Venkata Ratnam , President, Matrusri Education Charitable Trust, highlighted in his speech the role of Engineering Teachers in shaping the future Engineers.

The chief guest Sri Shanthi Swaroop, in his speech gave some rare insights into the personality of Maharshi Veda Vyasa and his message to the world through his works such as the Mahabharata.

The programme concluded after the felicitation of the chief guest, with the National Anthem.
