PROJECT EXPO-2019

Project Expo an annual flagship Event for promotion of research, innovation and startups was organized by EDC and RDCon 29th March 2019 at MVSR Engineering college campus.
In the department of computer science, some of the major projects, mini projects and PG projects were showcased. The process of selecting projects for Project Showcase was initiated two weeks before the event. Faculty from other departments: Mr.V.Ashwini Kumar, Assoc.Prof, IT department and Mr. D.V.S.R.Seshidhar, Asst.Prof, ECE Dept. screened the projects and selected a total of 20 projetcs which could be evaluated by experts on the day of Expo.
Selected participants have prepared colorful posters and exhibits for explaining the projects. Distinguished experts,Prof.J.Gopala Rao, professor from Mahindra Ecole Centrale and Mr.Ranjith Kumar Palanivel from Cognizant Technology Solutions were invited as examiners for the expo. Both the examiners have spent time with the students and evaluated the projects critically based on Definition Scope,Novelty, Implementation, Societal /Futuristic Utility etc. Apart from the examiners several students and faculty have enthusiastically gone through the projects displayed.Student organizers from 2nd, 3rd and final year have coordinated the event successfully with support from faculty coordinators A.Saritha, Asst. Prof, CSED and Dr.B.Sandhya, Assoc. Prof,CSED.
10 projects were selected from B.E 4th year and M.Tech category and 10 projects from B.E 2nd year and B.E 3 rd year Mini project category.
Based on experts review and feedback, the following projects have been awarded:

2. Patch based Image matching using Siamese CNN ------------------------- 2nd prize (M.Tech)
Mini Project Category
1. Voice Controlled Robot -------------- 1st prize (B.E 2/4)
2. Wearable Gadget for the Blind -------- 2nd prize (B.E 2/4)
