A Fifteen Days Induction Program was carried out in Civil Engineering Department as per AICTE Norms from 19/7/18 to 4/8/18. The main objective was to familiarize the students with the new environment and encourage them to look beyond the classrooms. The coordinators for the program were Mrs.R.Sriranjini & Mrs. Shweta Kaushik (CED) and Dr.I.Satyasree,Dr. D.Rekha, Dr. K.Ramesh Babu, Mr. Rama Krishna,Mr. Chinna Mallesh (S & H Dept.), Mrs.Divya (MBA Dept.) coordinated the program.

The fifteen days induction program has exposed the students to various activities like sports, yoga, arts and various social issues. The various speakers gave motivational speeches to the students and there parents. The students enjoyed these activities after two years of stressful study period. Students were educated about the core stream being entered by them by Head of the Department Prof.S.G.S.Murthy and other eminent speakers like Prof. Koganti Srinath so that the students continue to pursue interest in the field of civil engineering. There were guest lectures like by Mr. T. Saratchandra Srivastava, Project Team Leader (Transportation Business Group) and Mr. M. Sampath Reddy, Executive Engineer (Mission Bhagiratha). There were other eminent speakers brought in regarding topics like Universal human values.

The students had local visits to places like old age homes, orphanages and jail to make them socially aware of the problems in society and to make them socially responsible and make them develop empathy towards this part of the society. The overall outcome of the program was to change the perception of the students towards the learning process and create interest in learning.
