AANVIK-2017
The ECE Department of MVSR Engineering College, Nadergul, Hyd., is organizing a two-day technical fest – “AANVIK 2K17” during 1-2 March 2017.
AANVIK 2K17 biennial Technical fest conducted by Department of ECE during 1-2 March 2017. Aanvik provides platform for aspirants assembling from various engineering colleges with a very high competitive spirit to participate and share their knowledge and technical skills.
On 1st March 2017, the Inaugural function started with a prayer song by Shree Kalpa of II Year C Section, followed by lightning the lamp. Head of the Dept, Dr B.Sarala,, Prinipal Dr.V.Chandra Sekhar, BES Chairman Mr. N.Namassivaya, Chief Guest Dr.D.Ranganadhan, Deputy Director, Doordarshan Kendra Hyderabad has addressed the gathering. Mrs SVR Manimala , Co-Convenor of the Tech fest has briefed about AANVIK.
The fest was executed with a total of 19 events which included technical and fun events, planned and organized at its best of quality. Technical events included Paper presentation, Project Expo, Zeki check, wire-o-than, Transcievance, Tech sparks, Breaking codes etc. Apart from these many fun events were conducted like spin the wheel, Tag team ladder, Gully cricket, Tug of war, Illu-my name. AANVIK 2K17 got huge response, with around 800 registrations for two days. Virtual Reality and Electronic Expo was introduced in AANVIK 2K17 and these events got immense response. In addition to this exciting Robotic Events were conducted. A brief overview of few events is presented here
Robo Relay: Comprising a number of complex hurdles and time boosting challenges, the intricately designed track tests the participants maneuvering skills. As the name suggests this is a robotic relay among manual bots (wired robot).
Escalade: This specially designed robot has the ability to move in the vertical direction. Designed by the students of ECE dept. this special robot is a twist to the traditional arm rover. It can pick up objects and place them into the corresponding slot along a vertical column. It showcases the skill of students in designing such a robot and a chance to experience something new.
Robo Cricket: This is a fun filled robotic event aimed at replicating the well-known game of cricket. It has robots which have been mechanized to bowl and bat.
Breaking Codes: This exciting event is an enigma. It Tests the ability to crack codes, decipher clues and solve puzzles. Purely based on concepts such at binary to decimal conversions, clues on electronic component properties and pattern identification, one will enjoy solving these puzzles.
Transceivance: This Communication Systems related technical event is unique among the rest of the technical events. The first round is a technical quiz on communication theory. This is followed by the exciting ECE treasure hunt. Clues lead participants to hidden transmitter which buzzes when the receiver comes into a 1 meter range. This is thus a fun application of basic communication systems concepts.
AANVIK 2K17 got a sponsorship of Rs 45000/- from various organizations which include Sri Veda, Manya Princeton, IDP, ICON Medical Systems.
On 2nd of March AANVIK 2K17 was conclude with a valedictory function. Sri K.Suchendar, Technology Director, DRDL Hyd. Was honored as chief guest. Winners were encouraged with cash prizes for all the events.
Department feels proud to organize such a successful event and would like to convey thanks to the Principal and Management for their timely support and encouragement in organizing this fest.
