WELFARE MEASURE POLICIY

 

The management gives priority for the welfare of both students and staff members.

I.Students Welfare Measures:

                       A.Transport :

Objective: Ease of commuting at reasonable cost

All the students of the college are eligible to travel in the college bus upon paying the relevant fees.

The College provides transport facility for students from different part of the city to reduce the hardship in commuting to the college. The facility is extended with no loss no profit motive.

Dedicated staff are in place for the transport committee and any deficiency in service is brought to the notice of the committee through co-ordinators (designated staff of the college). The committee analyses the issue and upon scrutiny forwards the findings to Vice-Principal who is in-charge of Administration. Vice-Principal guides the committee for a suitable solution.

Representation for additional bus for a specific route is considered after considering all the variables.

Students are provided with free transport for Sports Activities, to reach examination centre and for Industrial tour. Facility is extended for students after college hours who attend E-Labs, CRT classes, Bridge course, special classes and remedial classes.

B.Canteen:

 Objective: Quality food with affordable rates

 The college constitutes canteen committee to look into the functioning of the canteen and periodical visits are made by the committee members to check the hygiene and the quality of food provided.

Complaints if any is looked into by the canteen committee, the committee ask the canteen in charge for a meeting to sort out the issue raised and ensure appropriate action is taken up within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the complaint.

 The college provides quality food at subsidised rates serving Break-fast lunch and snacks.

                         C.Medical:

Objective: Ensure timely medical assistance

 Qualified Doctor is available in the campus to provide medical assistance for those in need.

 An Ambulance is kept ready for emergency if any arises and for sports activities outside the campus the same is deployed at the sports venue as precautionary measure.

                        D.Insurance:

Objective: Social Security

 All the students are covered under the Insurance policy to meet unforeseen circumstances and there by provide social security.

                        E.Sports:

Objective: Inculcate Team spirit and Wellness

 The college gives importance to the sports which will make the students to learn Team spirit and keep themselves fit as fiddle.

 Physical Director (Doctorate) is guiding the young talent in various sports and facilitate for National level participation. In order to encourage the talent students who practice after college hours are provided with free transport for commuting.

                        F.Remedial Classes

Objective: Assist students to understand the concepts and clear the semester without backlogs.

 Students who are slow learners and who have backlogs are encouraged to attend extra classes and understand the concepts well and help them to clear the examination.

 Every faculty is allotted certain number of students for counselling so as to identify the areas for improvement through close monitoring of academic records and help them to clear the examination.

                        G.Training

Objective: Prepare the students to face the Interview with confidence and skills.

 Students are provided with training in various skills in addition to academics so as to clear the rounds in interview and grab the offers through in campus recruitment and off campus drives.

 

II.Staff welfare Measures:

                  A.Medical

Objective: Assisting employee to cope with health issues both in terms of finance and guidance.

In addition to the availability of a qualified doctor in the campus, employees are provided with part reimbursement of their medical policy to encourage procuring medical coverage to face the health issues if any.

Part premium is reimbursed upon producing the copy of the premium paid receipt which is submitted to the Head of the Institution through the respective HOD.

                 B.Maternity Benefits:

Objective: Assist women employee to cope with New Born

Women employees of the college are provided with 180 days of maternity leave for 2 children.

Employee applies for maternity leave through respective HOD and the same is forwarded to the Head of the Institution for necessary approval subject to eligibilit

                  C.Higher Education:

Objective: To encourage employees to attain higher qualifications

 Teaching staff are encouraged to do Doctorate Degree in the relevant field of their subject and are provided with a day off every week for attending the Phd. Classes.

 The employee obtains no objection letter before enrolling into the doctorate program from the Head of the institution through their HOD. Based on the admission reference and submission of periodical progress of the course undertaken the employee is granted leave of absence and the same is treated as on duty to facilitate the employee to attend classes.

 On completion of the doctorate degree and upon producing the Degree certificate employee’s effort is encouraged and rewarded with one time increment for his achievement.

 Non-Teaching staff too are encouraged to obtain higher qualification and are rewarded upon producing the certificate by way of increments relevant to them.

                  D.Professional Membership/Workshop:

 Objective: To keep abreast with latest developments

Employees are encouraged to become members in their relevant professional bodies so as to keep themselves updated with latest developments.

 Teaching staff are encouraged to attend workshop relevant to their subject and the registration fee is reimbursed to a maximum of Rs.5000/- each with prior approval from their respective HOD and the Head of the Institution.

 Teaching staff are required to clear NPTEL examination with a minimum of 60 percentile and are reimbursed the examination fee for the same.

                  E.Ease of communication:

 Objective: Information sharing for better co-ordination

HOd’s and section in charges are provided with post-paidSims and the bill is paid by the institution. This helps the staff to be in touch with their colleagues without hassle.

                  F.Transport:

 Objective: Economic relief for taking additional role as bus co-ordinators.

 Staff who have been designated as bus co-ordinators are given free transportfacility for their additional role. The co-ordinators are appointed by the transport committee approved by the Vice-Principal who is in charge of the Administration.

                 G.Canteen:
