Co-curricular activities:


Seminars / Workshops / FDPs:

Various Co-curricular activities such as Seminars / Workshops / FDPs , Expert Lectures in Technical areas, Technical events and Industrial visits are organized for the benefit of students. In the conferences, PG and III & IV year students are encouraged to participate and volunteer.

 

Samavarthan:

 MVSR Engineering College conducts biennial technical fest “Samavarthan” which is organized with an objective to provide platform for the students to showcase their talent in different areas with a competitive spirit.“Samavarthan”also known for hosting a variety of events that include competitions, exhibitions, lectures as well as workshops.

The underlying spirit of “Samavarthan”is to promote technology and scientific thinking and innovation. Entrepreneurship also made an appearance in tech fest showcasing technological entertainment at the end of each day as well as hub of on the spot activities, made their debut during these years.

 

Extra-Curricular Activities:

Sangamam:

MVSR Engineering College conducts biennial cultural fest “Sangamam” that infuses much needed enthusiasm for the students. The underlying mission of “Sangamam” is to promote the development of individuals who seek world classtechnical and professional competence in their respective fields along with projecting co-curricular talentin the field of arts and literature. Nurturing, enhancing and projecting talent and uniqueness of youthfulminds has always been a prime goal of this event.

 

Annual Day:

MVSR Engineering College Celebrates Annual Day every year at the end of academic year. MVSR Engineering College felicitates its students in Annual Day who have brought laurel to the college in terms of learning and overall development.

Athlema:

MVSR Engineering College organizes annual inter college sports festival “Athlema” to showcase students sporting spirit to win and prove among the thousands. Various sports organised in Athlema are Cricket, Football, Basketball, Throw ball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Chess, Table Tennis, Table Tennis, Carroms, Badminton andAthletics. Students from various colleges participate in Athlema to showcase their sporting skills.

Helping Hands:

Helping Hands is the group of volunteers from IEEE student branch aimed at raising the quality of lives of  people, in dispensing the basic needs with charity and patronage to the less privileged.

The team had visited an orphanage in Vidyanagar, Hyderabad and distributed the daily requirements for survival for the empowerment of the needy.

The team had visited Prerana special school, Malakpet and conducted cultural programmes like dancing, singing, painting, fancy dress and distributed sweets and prizes for the same. They also trained the students who were physically challenged for two months with the help of the staff for the activities.

Once again the helping hands extended their arms to greet children at an orphanage at Nallakunta and conducted drawing competition for them. The students came up with colourful and beautiful sketches of national flag and freedom fighters.

 The team visited Government High School for Blind girls at Malakpet, Hyderabad.

On the occasion of Republic Day, the team of 15 had been to Blind School to conduct various activities to encourage visually challenged girls and make them feel they are nowhere less than normal people in terms of building a career in any profession.

Student member team had conducted three events in the School,Debate, Story telling, Skipping (Physical Activity)

With the spirit of patriotism and spreading social awareness, the team organized two events one at vatsalyam voluntary organization at nagole consisting of cultural and fun events for the physically challenged students., the other one was at Sri Saraswati Sishu mandir at badangpet consisting of spreading awareness about importance of plants and also held a plantation drive by the students and staff of the school.

On the occasion of 65th republic day, the students of MVSR Engineering College organized an activity on humanitarian grounds at Midhani slum area in Hyderabad city on a motive to contribute the basic needs like food and clothing and made them aware of special programmes implemented by the Indian government to eradicate poverty.They also collected  food and clothes from all the students and faculty in the college

 

National Cadet Corps (NCC)

 

MVSR Engineering College is selected as a nodal centre for organizing NCC Programme for students of colleges in the area.

 

Mr.DVSR Sesidhar, Asst. Professor, ECE Dept., of the college is In-charge of the NCC Unit of the college from Feb.2014. A Seven days Camp in Rural Village is a major NCCactivitytaken up every year forthe benefit of people in villages in veterinary camps, cleaning educational institutions, temples etc.

Blood Donation Camps, General Medical Camp, Tree Plantation, Career Guidance Programs are arranged by NCC Volunteers.

Youth Red Cross Association:

 

Indian Red Cross Society is active in promoting Health Education, Health Care, Free Medical Aid and Medicines to the poor, Blood Donations, Junior Red Cross and Youth Red Cross associations. Our Youth Red Cross Association is a member in Indian Red Cross Society.
